Applying To College

If you have followed the High School Calendar Checklists, you're on track in the college application process by the time you reach the fall of your senior year.
While each school has its own formula, most consider these factors:

• Grades
• Standardized tests scores: SAT, ACT (optional at some colleges), and SAT Subject Tests (more competitive colleges and universities)
• Honors or advanced placement (AP) classes
• Electives
• Extracurricular activities and volunteer experience
• Letters of recommendation
• Essays
