This training will give counselors the tools they need to help students access NYS financial aid through two alternate pathways to the FAFSA. Participants will receive a step-by-step walkthrough of each pathway, including instructions on how students can determine their eligibility and apply successfully. The session will highlight key details, common challenges, and resources to make the process easier for both counselors and students. By the end, counselors will feel confident guiding more students toward valuable state financial aid opportunities. 

This training is for high school counselors, community organizations, and financial aid professionals. Trainers do not have access to look up or adjust student accounts.
