Dear Colleagues,
HESC would like to update our partners on the new Student Status Listing (SSL) files for 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25. As requested by our college partners HESC will now provide additional information on the SSL to provide more information to allow colleges to further assist their students with NYS financial aid.
Colleges will now receive information on the SSL for students with approved applications that have cleared income verification, denied applications, and applications in a missing information status. Schools will NOT receive students who are approved for an award but pending IVP.
The new process will begin with the 2023 SSL on Thursday, June 6. Record layouts have not changed but will include the new categories above.
SSL programming for the 2024-25 budget, including increasing the TAP minimum and the increased income maximum, is still in development. Once programming is in place, HESC will recalculate all awards, which will be reflected on the SSL. HESC will alert schools when this is available.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
Regards,
New York State Higher Education Services Corporation
