HESC Planned Maintenance Impacting TAP Application Processing

Published

Dear Colleagues,

This letter is to inform you that a planned system maintenance will temporarily impact the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) systems and student application processing.

Beginning February 13 at 2:00 pm through February 18 at 5:00 am, students will be unable to access the Parent/Spouse e-signature function of the TAP application. Students will still be able to complete and submit the TAP application, but must use the Parent/Spouse paper signature form.

New applicant accounts created during this period will not be active until February 18, when services are restored. These applicants will be unable to upload their Parent/Spouse paper signature form until that time.

Information about this impact will be posted on the TAP application login and e-signature pages.

Due to these temporary limitations, we encourage rescheduling any planned FAFSA or TAP application completion events planned during this maintenance period.

We apologize for any disruption this may cause and appreciate your partnership in sharing this information with your students. Thank you for your understanding as these necessary system updates are completed.

Sincerely,

New York State Higher Education Services Corporation
