APTS Fall 2024 Processing Reminders
Now that the fall 2024 semester has ended, here are a few reminders when processing APTS.
For the fall 2024 term, schools must certify the Roster of Recipients within 45 days of the end of the term. This certification reflects which students have achieved a cumulative passing average and which have failed to reach the minimum standard for the term.
- For students only receiving APTS, schools will use the standard electronic certification process.
- For students who are recipients of Part-time TAP and APTS, schools should follow the procedures below:
- Students cannot exceed the annual limit for allowable points. Work with the student before awarding both programs, as using full-time points may exhaust their eligibility more rapidly, leaving no NYS financial aid eligibility at the end of their college careers.
When awarding both Part-time TAP and APTS, schools MUST process the Part-time TAP certification before sending the APTS certification. Please review HESC guidance for processing both programs.
To ensure a seamless certification process, please follow all processing instructions carefully and adhere to specified deadlines. HESC will not extend any processing deadlines.
Please reach out to [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
New York State Higher Education Services Corporation
